Alfredo, anyone?  It has to be one of my favorite sauces on the planet, so I thought I would share an awesome recipe with you this morning.  My friend shared this with me some years back and it has become one of my family's favorite dishes.  It helps create a meal that is soooo easy, but looks expensive and difficult to make.  I love recipes like that!  It's a good one to impress your guests!  It's so good that you may even be able to buy friends with it...

Alfredo Sauce a la Marsha:

Ingredients:

• 1 pint heavy cream
• 1 stick butter (not margarine)
• 1 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
• Salt
• Coarse ground pepper

Melt butter in medium sauce pan over medium heat.  Add cream, stirring continuously (so it doesn't scorch) until hot.  Add cheese, stirring until completely melted and sauce is smooth.  Remove from heat and salt and pepper to taste.  Serve over favorite pasta (ours is penne).

I like to make several toppings to complete the meal, but the sauce is so good that you can eat it alone on the pasta.  We like to add some fried ham, grilled chicken, sauteed asparagus, and/or sauteed mushrooms to ours depending on what's in our refrigerator.  Don't forget the garlic bread!

Anyone else out there a flip-flop freak like me?  One thing that makes me long for summer is the wearing of the flip-flop.  (It even comes ahead of my tan through swimwear.  Shhh, don't tell.)The simplicity and comfort can't be beat by any other shoe style.  Once my feet gets accustomed to them each summer, I can do almost anything in them.

This summer we will all head for an outing on the beach, at a river or lake, or to the community pool.  We remember our swimsuit, of course, the sunscreen, our favorite beach towel, and our cooler.  One thing we need to remember is our sunglasses.  There are a few reasons that they are important.

When any of us hear Miami mentioned, we typically think of beautiful beaches, parties, and bikini clad girls, right?  If you have ever visited the city, you know there is much more to be seen and experienced there.

One of my favorite experiences in Miami is dining on Cuban cuisine.  The rice is amazing and the plantains are spectacular!  The pork is nothing to sneeze at either.  I am not a fan of coffee, but I hear that the Cuban coffee will knock your socks clean off!

Many of you are gearing up for this summer's vacation with lots of planning, shopping, and working.  In the bustle, don't neglect your swimwear from lack of thought or in the interest of saving money.

Be sure to take along at least two swimsuits, especially if you plan to spend a lot of time wearing them.  Since Spandex™ and other stretchy fabrics like Lycra have a "memory", they need to rest between uses.  You should let it rest at least 24 hours after each use and cleaning so that the fibers can return to its natural shape.  If you do not, you run the risk of leaving your swimwear stretched out and misshapen.  Even though you love wearing it every day, not letting it rest will shorten the life of your favorite swimsuit.
